Hello + Welcome!

You've just booked a mini session with Brittany Minor Photography, and you can't wait ( + me either!! ) But now that you are officially booked with me, you might be wondering what's next? I created a mini session guide for clients that detail the next steps to help you + your family prepare for your session! In this article, I'll explain how mini sessions work, and all the things you can expect!

What is a mini session?

Mini session's are just that, a mini version of a full session! Mini session's yield less images than that of a full family session. These take place on pre-selected dates at a specific location, and are themed with props, depending upon the season! The usual time frame I schedule these are during the hours leading up to sunset. I announce these on my social media + website when the booking link is live. Mini session's are for immediate family only.

What's Included?

You will receive a 15 minute session, 10 digital edited images with the option to purchase the full gallery delivered in a digital download gallery, + print release. As I am able to fill multiple spots at the same location, the mini session investment is priced at a special savings.

How do i know if mini session's are right for my family?

Mini session's are great for a quick update of that family photo hanging on the wall, or an update to your yearly holiday card! You may also love to have a themed session, and I personally LOVE how creative I am able to get with these session set-up's!

There may be moments where mini's aren't a good fit. Below are examples of when I would recommend a full family session over a mini :

If you have children who tend to be more shy or take time to warm up or If you desire candid moments in addition to portrait images.

What type of images can i expect?

Mini session's with Brittany Minor Photography consist mostly of portraits. I strive to get images that include full family, just mom and dad, the kiddo's together, and individual portraits, featuring the seasonal set-up that you book! These will be digital, retouched images like you see in my portfolio.

What will we wear?

This is probably the first question you think of right after you are officially booked for a session! When you start to think of styling, I suggest starting with one person first! You can then choose a color scheme, and introduce any textures and layers. Another great thing to think about is the colors in your home ( of course you will want to display these images on the walls! ) Make sure the colors you choose compliment each other well. Try to avoid big logos + matching patterns. Outfits can make or break images! As always, I am just an email away if you have any styling questions! I would be happy to help!

What happens The day of session?

In the days leading up to the session, I send a email reminder of your session date + time as well as directions to the location, and any necessary weather information! I also email out a questionnaire for you to complete, so I can get to know your family a little bit more!

What is your editing process and when can i expect my gallery?

After your session, I upload your images + take great care in editing your session preview images. Sneak peek's are typically posted within 2 days of your session. My turnaround time is 7 days. You will then receive your gallery, with your choice of 10 image downloads, in a digital download gallery, where you can share, download, and print! You can also upgrade to your full gallery to receive all digital, edited images of your session!

Last but not least, let's have fun with your session!
